Chris Alldredge – Injury Update

answer (1)

Uncertainty surrounds Chris Alldredge’s Australian supercross campaign after he suffered a heavy crash during his heat race at Toowoomba’s second round of the championship last Friday night, forcing him to withdraw from the event.

The Crankt Protein Honda Racing rider is scheduled to undergo scans on what is believed to be an injured shoulder, and depending on its severity, it could spell a premature end to Alldredge’s stint in Australian supercross.

The American expressed his disappointment on the incident, stating that he was becoming well acquainted with the CRF450R despite only being on it for a number of days prior to Friday night.

“At this stage, we aren’t entirely sure of what is happening with my shoulder,” he explained. “If I’m able to, I’ll definitely be on the line in South Australia in two weeks.”

“I’m obviously disappointed. In my heat race I was feeling really comfortable in third, and especially with only a couple of days on the bike, and never having raced a 450 before, I was feeling confident that we were going to have a great main event.”

The 20-year-old was initially drafted into the Crankt Protein Honda Racing outfit to replace fulltime rider Dylan Long, who was declared unfit to contest the Australian Supercross Championship due to an ongoing thumb injury.

The team was contacted earlier today regarding any progress on Alldredge’s injury, although they were unable to provide an update as he continues to be evaluated.
