Todd Waters Injured

Wilson Coolair Motul Suzuki’s Todd Waters will sit out Saturday night’s fourth round of the Australian Supercross Championship in Melbourne due to a wrist injury sustained at Adelaide’s third round last weekend.

Waters explained to MotoOnline.com.au that he initially injured his thumb when he crashed out of the lead in Toowoomba, however another incident in the whoops at Adelaide resulted in the likeable Queenslander injuring his wrist on the opposite hand.

“When I crashed in the whoops at Toowoomba, I suffered a wrist/thumb injury,” Waters shared. “I carried that through to Adelaide, where I placed second in my qualifying race, but then I went down in the final and got my other wrist and tweaked it.”

“I got x-rays and I’ve just done some ligaments, so I’m going to rest it this weekend to try and be fit and healthy for Sydney. I won’t be 100 percent, but the body will be better than what it feels now. I’ll just have to strap-up the wrist and see how we go.”

Waters will attempt to line-up for Sydney’s double-header season finale as he endeavours to finish the year on a strong note after being unable to complete a night of supercross since Jimboomba’s opening round.
